At least a late MY1981 (diesel shown with old vents but we know how Volkswagen have always mixed their brochures... Only main photo in link verified a diesel)

MY1983 (late 1982) Wasserboxer shown with newer vents (on these pics the new radiator grille is visible)

@AleX_DJ: Do you know the location of this scene, is it supposed to take place in Germany? If so, shouldn't Pritschenwagen (or, Transporter Pritschenwagen) be used, rather than Pick-up?

Bozen (Bolzano) is in Italy, in the province Südtyrol/Alto Adige. It's a bilinguial italian/german area.

Rather a VW Camioncino then?

Sorry for late reply. Yes this is in South Tyrol, but consider that this is a German-produced series and some vehicles used are German-sourced...

 btw: in which language are the sales brochures at the VW-dealerships in South Tyrol?
When I'm the next time in the German speaking part of Belgium, I will try to check that question there.
At least in the 70ies the VW-brochures in Flanders were in Dutch, thoese in Wallonia in French - but not the versions for Netherlands or France!

The German brochures for Austria were different, too, those for Switzerland even completely new written - strictly without the "ß"

Brochures as like the owner's manuals of the cars are available both in German and in Italian for all the makes sold in South Tyrol. And in some areas of the region they are mostly in German, in particular in smaller towns.
