Possibly a 1938-40 Vauxhall Wyvern Caleche
[Image: vauxhallwyverncaleche1940.jpg]

"GENUINE HOLDEN-BODIED VAUXHALL WITH BADGES TO VERIFY. AS A 1940 MODEL, IT IS EXTREMELY RARE BECAUSE HOLDEN REDUCED THEIR AUTOMOBILE OUTPUT TO CONCENTRATE ON THE WAR EFFORT AND PRODUCED MILITARY VEHICLE AND ARMAMENTS FROM 1939 TO 1946. MOREOVER THIS MODEL WAS ONLY PRODUCED FROM 1938 - 1940 AND ONLY 3331 UNITS WERE PRODUCED DURING THIS PERIOD (SOURCED FROM HOLDEN PRODUCTION RECORDS). BELIEVED TO BE 1 OF 40 REMAINING WORLDWIDE. THIS MODEL WAS ONLY PRODUCED IN AUSTRALIA FOR THE AUSTRALIAN MARKET".

wiki quote "Australian Wyvern H Series "Caleche": GMH introduced a locally built Vauxhall Wyvern model to the Australian market in 1938, ten years before the use of the Wyvern name in England. Based on the British Vauxhall H Series, it was produced in Sedan, Roadster, Tourer and "Caleche" body styles, the latter being a two-door roadster with a folding windscreen. The Wyvern had a 94-inch wheelbase and used a 10 hp engine. Production ceased in 1941 but was resumed in 1946, using pre-war tooling.". Article has a photo with the next version of the grille without fluted top, which maybe the post-WW2 resumption??
