This must be an Anglia, the vehicle called Popular was not introduced until 1953, at the same time as the 100E Anglia and Prefect. Ford had decided that they must continue the tradition of offering a very cheap car at the base of their range and the 100Es were not a bottom end car. The Popular 103E was a stripped out Anglia, with the 10hp engine from the old E493A Prefect, and lasted, as the cheapest four seater Saloon on offer in U.K., until 1959. -- Last edit: 2017-08-05 20:41:38 |
