This is a 3500 "HD" which has the same grill as the 1500, this means it is either an 03 or 04. The 05 and newer HDs have a different grill and hood |

It’s not widened, at least if your thinking aftermarket wise. They are available from the factory that way. The dual rear wheels (DRW) help spread out any payload or trailer load across the rear drive-axle and also stabilizes the vehicle when towing excessively heavy trailers. |
