Yes, Picnic in Holland, but in Russia?

The Japanese domestic market version is call Ipsum. We see them here in NZ as secondhand imports and I presume the same is true in Russia.

So if it's right hand drive it's an Ipsum, and if it's left hand drive it isn't. :)

Not necessarily. The domestic model is called Ipsum but the export model is Picnic. Which market gets which version I don't know. I also don't know which part of Russia this is. I do know that large numbers of secondhand Japanese cars go into eastern Russia but don't know how far west they spread. Hence you will see many right hand drive Japanese cars in a country which I presume is mainly left hand drive?? About two thirds of all 'new' registrations of vehicles in NZ are secondhand imports.

From the comment on the Suzuki page I gather this may not be Russia? From this I would say it is almost impossible to distinguish whether this car is an export or domestic model, although if it is left hand drive it would most likely be an export car sold new in wherever the film was taken.

I'm pretty sure this scene is Moscow, but most of the film was made in Sofia.

Moscow indeed: the Bolshoi Theatre. Cf Link to "images.google.nl"

Good news :D
Domestic Ipsum dosen't have side turnsignal lamp, so it's Picnic.
