Sadly it got blown up...:( But during the fall of the Cliff, the BMW didn't look very real. It looked a CGI (Computer Designed) BMW, not a real car. And when they showed, the scrap of the car, it didn't look like a BMW, it looked like a Ford Pick-Up Truck. -- Last edit: 2005-09-20 16:03:17 |

Stock footage available on GettyImages shows that the car that drove off the cliff really was a BMW (or at least a replica). On the contrary, the background was digitally altered, to show a night sky. As for the shot that appears on the news, of all the people walking around and filming the wreck... that might just be a stretch on my part, but I'm willing to bet that footage was filmed during production of another Columbia film, Groundhog Day (1993), where the destroyed vehicle was indeed a pickup truck (a Chevy, not a Ford).
