I didn't add the coachbuilder complement (and don't know who added it .gif ":)") ) because I know nothing about it, as told several times. And I don't validate something I can't check.So as long as you don't provide explicit links to explain your proposals regarding the identification of a specific body, you'll have to wait until another admin comes and to hope that he knows better about it. @ supcoach: if you understand it, then why not helping us to check your propositions of identification by giving some sources? @ johnfromstaffs: my experience taught me that when someone says "it's hard to explain" or "it's just experience", it's often someone who either don't really understand what she/he's talking about, making more guesses than structured thoughts (but saying it a way it could be seen as real knowledge, and most of the time believing it), or someone who is scared of losing a kind of status by sharing his/her knowledge... As teacher, I just can't say to my students "I know what I say so accept it that way". If I want them to appropriate what they (try to) learn, I must explain each part of it. And as "normal guy", I also like to understand what people say to me. I don't believe in "natural knowledge", gift or whatever one may call it. Knowledge don't come out of nothing, it's a step by step learning. As said in another page of the IMCDb, I think that if you really know something, then you can explain it. If you can't explain it, whatever the reasons/excuses you give to yourself, then you don't know it as well as you thought... Sometimes one cannot find a pic/info that can satisfy ...but like the Chevy/Blue Bird that we have discussed previously...if you look at the shape of the bus on said brochure and the vehicle in question you can see that the bodies are the same (with minor differences).....And this may get me in trouble but I read somewhere on here that you said that you were an atheist...It is your choice to believe in a deity or not...but something concrete like a vehicle/bus body/truck or whatever where there are similar examples on this site....they all can't be wrong...At times you just have to trust your gut...As an aside I used to teach (special ed-elementary) and I found that the students are more intelligent that you give them credit for and do not need to be spoon-fed information in little steps...that's what is wrong with the educational system today..we give them all the information and discourage the thinking process......,., |

For the record, I don't give my students all the information, I prefer teach them how to get it by themselves. And we are not here to "believe" in anything, guts included, but to identify vehicles. But enough with it, once more. As already said here and in some other pages, I won't add any complement about coachbuilders as long as I don't have sources to check. During forty years in business I have encountered occasions where you do things but you cannot really analyse the reasoning or thought processes that led to the decision. It's called intuition or experience and you won't learn it in any lecture. Similar situations occur on the road, where acquired knowledge kicks in and you slow down for no apparent reason and the bend tightens on you.
