The Somerset series name in 1985/87 model year only on the GM [N] platform. They changed it to Skylark at 1988 model year as described at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Buick_Somerset . |

The Somerset name was indeed used from 1985 to 1987 and yes, they were all 2-door cars. In 1985, they were called "Somerset Regals". In 1986 and 1987, they were part of the Skylark series and were just called "Somersets", while the 4-door models were "Skylarks". For 1988, both the 2 and 4 door models were called "Skylarks" and the "Somerset" name disappeared into automotive history. -- Last edit: 2009-10-13 15:46:43 |
