Riley?? Plate is xGJ, but can't read x. AGJ started 1933, so it shouldn't be earlier. |

Riley for sure, too far from the camera to be sure which of the many body types it is, and whether it's got four or six cylinders. |

Probably just go for best fit/most common?? |

Best fit, due to no supporting bar between the headlights, and general body shape is 12/4 Kestrel. But that is only my opinion, and open to change if anyone feels they have better/different reasoning. The reason Riley had to be rescued by Nuffield was, in part, too many models. Trying to pick a most common Riley is like trying to choose from a stack of well engineered ball bearings. Link to "www.classicandsportscar.ltd.uk" Absolutely superb! Exactly how a quality 1930s sports saloon should look. -- Last edit: 2014-08-26 23:40:06 |

That looks like a 1938 Kestrel - identified by the slatted radiator grille and ramrod straight front bumper. It could be a 12/4 or 15/6, most likely the former. -- Last edit: 2022-03-12 17:40:11 |
