Only sold from 1999-2000. It was axed in 2001: Link to "autos24h.com.br" - translate the article it is really interesting. Truck_Guy :hello: you would most definitely enjoy that article! I know you seem to upload Mexican flicks and here is some information on the GM of Brazil.

The C/K was called the Silverado down there and introduced in 1997. The GMC was actually called the 3500 HD and it wasn't like our HD model from the images on that site  very intriguing read.

http://www.picapesgm.com.br/reportagens/reportagem_grandblazer.htm - nice breakdown as well. Again you will have to translate it or read Spanish :D

It states that these 'Grand Blazers' were assembled in Argentina. Nice! I did not know that and I will fix the few we have listed.

Yes, the GMC appears to be the work-oriented model, while the Silverado was the more luxurious option. Pretty much the opposite of how the brands are perceived here in the States. All of these had a five-speed manual gearbox, which is interesting. The interior picture of the Grand Blazer rear seats looks to show a full center console, it would be interesting to see how they fitted the shifter in there. The manual gearbox Silverados all have a bench seat in the front. Unlike here in the U.S. and Canada, where the 5.7-liter V8 was the only option in the Tahoe, the Grand Blazer did not offer a thirsty V8 engine. Only a straight-six gasoline motor or a straight-six diesel were offered. I bet that little diesel was a fuel-sipper. :)

In June 2000, they moved production of the Silverado and GMC 3500 to Brazil before discontinuing the models in 2001. The pickups were only available as Regular Cab, GM apparently considered bringing the Extended Cab version to Brazil at one time, but the demand simply wasn't there and they decided against it. The [GMT400] platform was the last full-size truck GM sold in Brazil.
