Opel Blitz, 1944 - radio truck doing duty as an ambulance. |

Does "Class: Cars, Van / MPV" sound better? |

I've heard that later in the war, all use of red crosses by the German forces was completely abolished due to the fact that the cross itself served as a target for Soviet bombers. |

@130rapid: good question. Do we classify vehicles as what they are or what they're pretending to be? All the WW2 Blitz Ambulances I found on Google Images were simply converted trucks. |

I jumped the gun here :X /vehicle.php?id=320524 because truly (rare) Żuk A1806 ambulance looks that: http://www.czerwonesamochody.com/details.php?image_id=2644 We have same difficulty with Skoda 1200/1201 wagons. Sometimes they are plain wagons playing ambulance, sometimes truly ambulances. -- Last edit: 2010-07-24 17:00:53 |

I think the Red Cross only doesn't make ambulance yet. |

The site you linked to for the Zuk photo doesn't allow direct linking to images. |
