The oval tail lights should make this a 1950 Packard Standard Eight.

Late 1949's and 1950's were identical.

I love that 48-50 design. Ok, i'm gonna have to go find some magazine ads of Packards from that era.

That '51 Studebaker going by brings back memories of my childhood. My family had one from 1951 to 1962, a Commander sedan.

One of these? http://www.oldcarmanualproject.com/pix/Studebaker/images/51Studebaker02-or.jpg
50-51 models will always be my favorite Studebakers. I think the bullet looking grill is cool looking.

Ours had the lesser trim (rubber instead of chrome rear door gravel shields and no fender-top ornamentation).
The one in your link picture is the "Commander State". I think our version was the "Commander Regal".
It was gray rather than red.

Link to "www.oldcarmanualproject.com" Heres a Regal sedan.
Link to "www.oldcarmanualproject.com" This is my favorite model, with that wrap around back windshield. These are both '50 models, though.

Yes, the green sedan's trim was like ours, but was a 1951.
