Ingo ◊ 2008-01-31 18:50	No, it wasn't. As a new car the EMW 340 was only available for GDR-authorities, the police, the Stasi(secret-service), bosses of big state-owned factories (VEB) and so on. It was impossible for private GDR-citizens to get this car as new. The only exceptions was, as I've heard, if a doctor needs a car for making visits.
