Were the door jamb an inch or so wider, or the car an inch or so further back, we would know for certain. In the case of what we can see here, go for the Devon on grounds of numbers built.

Horrible cars, bouncy front suspension, sloppy steering and rattling timing chain, not to mention the lumpy styling. The Somerset wasn’t a lot better either, but the Cambridge was a big improvement, they had debugged the B Series engine and gearbox by then, but unfortunately not the front end which still bounced and wobbled. I speak from experience of OUK478, my £15 A50 Cambridge. If BMC had used their brains, the A55 Mk1 and Farina Cars should have been fitted with the Morris design front suspension with rack and pinion steering and torsion bar springing. The result might have been a bit less like driving a doughnut. Of everything that emerged from BMC in that era, only the Morris Minor 1000 and the Gerald Palmer designs were worth the effort unless you liked being seasick. By the early 60s Fords had chimed in with the Cortina Mk1 and changed the game completely, especially with the 1500 engine which didn’t eat its crankshaft bearings.

Two details would make this a 4 door Devon: You can see the start of the curve of the window frame. Also the strap attached to the pillar is visible.
