Old person. That is to say I have ridden on a London Transport tram and a London Transport trolleybus when they were still in service. And I remember the UK roads before the M1 and the 70mph speed limit. I have competed in various forms of (mostly) low grade motorsport from the mid 1960's until 1990. I've managed to drive all sorts of things over the years. The most valuable was an 1955 Aston Martin DB2-4 which was an Aston Martin works entry in the Mille Miglia and Monte Carlo Rally in 1955. I co-drove it in the Mille Miglia Retrospective in 1990. Most frightening was a Lotus 18 single seater with a bent chassis - it was seriously unstable at high speed. Most fun was a preserved RTL bus once owned by a friend of mine. Over the years I/we have owned: various minis and mini-Coopers, MG Midget, A-H Sprite, several MGB's including the one I raced, an MGB GT V8, MG Maestros, Fords - Anglia, Escort, Sierra, Sapphire, Granada & XR3i, Peugot 307 and a Rover 600. I have driven most kinds of MG from an 18/80 to the MGB which came second in its class at Le Mans in the mid-60's.
