Set in 1948. Gentle comedy drama about an awkward schoolboy's crush on one of his classmates. Regarded at the time as one of Channel 4's best productions, and is still surprisingly effective for what is basically nostalgic fluff.

 Title is schoolboy gibberish - it's a secret code greeting used by the schoolboy gang. No explanation given what it means, if anything

 Those big lawn mowers were generally Dennis, we had one at school for the cricket pitches, plus a huge roller which was pupil powered.
