As I have said here before, the IMDb genre does not always properly reflect movie contents, which seems particularly true for French and German documentary style cinema of this era. Even Marker's Sans Soleil, which in my opinion kind of serves as an epitome of this 'genre' (if you want to call it that), is listed as a 'documentary' on IMDb.
