Series Complete.

Nothing better than the original series! :)

Come to think, the Mystery Machine is just a 1960s generic panel van.

I loved this show as a kid, though born in 2001 my parents showed it to me. To this day I still watch it.

Agreed on this first series being the most superior since I felt that the later renditions of Scooby Doo seemed to get progressively worse as time passed on, not to mention the countless direct to video animated movies it got (not counting the later live action ones). Although the original was nevertheless cheesy, it was still fun to watch as a kid. I miss the days when it used to air on Cartoon Network before it later got shifted to Boomerang.

There are a lot of models of the Mystery Machine... some are designed to look like the cartoon van, some are just existing models painted that way. Link to "www.hobbydb.com"

I don't know.

Believe it or not, from what little I watched of Scooby-Doo, for me the Mystery Machine was always a VW Bus, due to the hippie paint job and the spare tire on the front.

me too, i often thought it was a VW..round headlights, spare wheel on the front... but i saw so many times Shaggy & Scooby coming out ( or running back in ) the van by the rear doors...

As said previously at different place, hobbydb is not spamming, they asked first, and that's relevant links.
They also made links back to imcdb from some pages (and links can be added there, if someone has time)

When I was young, I thought The Mystery Machine looked like a Volkswagen Type 2.

I'm sorry opal, but I have to disagree with you here, This show is extremely annoying because of the terribly delivered dialogue from the characters and the fact that it has an overused laugh track, yeah, this show had that classic laugh track heard in some other Hanna-Barbera shows, and it gets annoying, REAL FAST! Plus, I seriously have no clue why this franchise still exists to this very day, Warner Bros. Is just using this franchise as a cash cow now.

This show is a classic. I remember watching it when it still aired on Cartoon Network, a show like this will stick in your mind forever. It has unforgettable charm.

Why are the years 1969-1971?

Season1 1969-1970
Season2 1970
Season3 1978

*sigh* What was I thinking when I made that comment? But yeah, the laugh track thing, still lame, and the cash cow thing still holds true.
