![]() directed by Gerald Thomas. I learn that the cast, Juliet Mills, Ronald Lewis, Joan Sims, Noel Purcell, Esma Cannon, Raymond Huntley (him I knew for dark roles), Athene Seyler, Norman Rossington, Ronald Howard, Joan Hickson, Renée Houston (what a character!), Jim Dale, George Woodbridge, David Horne, etc., are regulars of the Carry on series but being French raised in France, I know next to nothing of this series. Besides, and albeit the alternate title, Nurse on Wheels is not of the Carry on cannon, I am said. Though mellowing too much in the second half of the footage, this film gives us thirty first minutes of pure and varied funny comedy. And there is a Esma Cannon, here, verging to the genious in clownery. Final note: the movie poster, ![]() is a complete lie in what it suggests. This movie is very 'family friendly' (and more for girls than boys). But, very nice indeed. During the opening credits, some cars ![]() you'll take the pleasure to identify (send me a message if they are of any interest). This little thing too, on the right side of the road: ![]() Amusante et innocente petite comédie anglaise très bien jouée, de celles que nous ne voyions jamais sur nos petits écrans français, et c'est bien dommage, je crois. -- Last edit: 2015-04-29 04:11:42 |

All-British cast for the motors too. |

Opening credits L-R - Ford 100E, Anglia Estate, Morris Oxford S2, Ford Pop 103E. No further action needed. Small toy beside road is a Goggo T300 - probably worth a page. |

And now it's not an all-British film anymore. |

The Morris is a Cowley, not an Oxford. No chrome strips on inside of grille, and rubber only on windscreen surround, no chrome trim. The over riders could easily have been fitted afterwards. |

.... so the picture could be added in comments to the other Cowley page. Not the same car as different plates. |
