I know this film did not go over well with critics, and it isn't quite as good as the novel, but I really do love this film! I usually disagree with so-called critics anyway. ;) I thought this movie was a superb neo-noir film that truly captured the realistic feel of the time (and was not a cheesy modern re-make of one of the film noirs of the 40's--although I love the old film noirs too).

I liked the characters, the cars, but I will admit I thought Josh Hartnett was too young for his part...they needed an actor a little older. But, other than that I truly like this film and enjoy watching it! :)
