One of the earliest co-productions between independent Russia and the United States: Since there were only five days left in the year after the fall of the USSR, it's much more likely this film was released in the fall/early winter of 1991 (The tricolor was the flag of the Russian SFSR from August 22 - December 25, 1991) Antonov AN-2 for IMPDb: -- Last edit: 2019-08-18 17:24:35 |

What flag shall we give this film? USSR or Russia? For Soviet films produced 1991, I'd say we let the time they finished the film speak for itself. Filmed/produced before August 1991 can get the red flag, anything produced in Russia proper from then until the end of the year the tricolor. Post-coup RSFSR and Russian Federation are pretty much interchangable, like Republic of Yugoslavia and Serbia-Montenegro. RSFSR and USSR (which at the time was pretty much only the Central Asian republics) were basically two countries in the last quarter of the year. Link to "commons.wikimedia.org" TL;DR if you have a Russian movie from 1991, consult me and I'll see what I can do. Movie filmed in Komi BTW. -- Last edit: 2024-04-02 15:59:33 |
