![]() ![]() ![]() "Very much of its time (1955) this short shows how London Transport dealt with items lost on buses and the underground.". 8 minute information film from BFI DVD set - British Transport Films Volume Ten: London on the Move ![]() Inevitably lots of buses - pity it's black & white, so we never know what colour they were ... ![]() - featuring a tortoise ![]() ![]() ![]() "Tom - someone's left a tortoise on the bus" who turns out to be called Percy and is joyously reunited with its young owner and they all live happily ever after. (So my alternative version where Tom calls out the Bomb Squad who blow it up because it was an unexploded shell never happens). So instead here's some frothy beer ![]() |

Looks like the 1938 tube stock, some built by the Birmingham Railway Carriage and Wagon Co. My great uncle Jack was pattern shop manager there. |
