Interesting mixture of cars and possible sources. I think some of the credits footage (RHD Anglia, Escort TC) may well be UK stock footage from Modified Saloon racing, but other credits footage looks European source, possibly Group 1 or Group 2 (standard or near standard racers - eg NSUs, Taunus TC1 coupe). Plus looks like a Greek rally - possibly faked for film, and maybe with some real footage from a Greek national event - looks like "Rally of the Balkans" plates on some cars. Not sure where to start looking for what that rally might be - if it's genuine, maybe the Moskvitches might be the best clue??

I was going to say that the rally start scene looks fake, with big numbers stuck on standard road cars, but then I found that there really was a "Rally Balkanique" across Greece and Turkey in 1971 !

That would explain the turkish plate on that BMW : /vehicle_808970-BMW-2002-Alpina.html

The opening "circuit" scene was filmed in the Tatoi airbase near Athens and it consists of original footage from a Greek Championship race (probably 1971). Both right hand cars (Anglia and Escort) are (were) Greek cars racing that era.

The Greek Rally scenes at the end of the movie are actually original footage from the starting of the "Balkanic Rally" of 1971 mixed with scenes made for the movie. We can see alot of well known Greek cars of the era. Actually in the (terrible) scenes specifically made for the movie, we can see the original driver of the Moskvitch (Mr Minas Vourdoumbakis) sitting as a co-driver!

I hope I helped a little

@DimitrisR :king: If the RHD Anglia and Escort were ex-UK track cars, I wonder which ones they were over here. Maybe ex-Broadspeed team cars??
