GodzillaFan54 ◊ 2025-11-27 18:46	1992 Canadian-American made-for-TV sports drama about a recently-fired Seattle Mariners baseball manager from the United States who is tasked with flying to the Soviet Union and training Soviet athletes who are eager to learn to play baseball in anticipation of the upcoming Olympic Games. This is no easy task, as the athletes are far more used to hockey and the aggressive nature that comes with it. Through saintly patience and the encouragement of a woman claiming to be a tour guide, the team is eventually trained to the point of holding their own in the climactic game against the New York Yankees! Russian Coca Cola advertisement. Filmed in Canada and post-Soviet Russia, moreso the latter. Set during the later years of the Soviet era. Airdate: July 11th, 1992
