J'ai pas vu le film.Mais dans les bouquins d'Henning Mankell, le commissaire Wallander utilise toujours une Peugeot, de modèle indéterminé, et qui a une certaine importance dans les récits. A-t-elle disparu du film?

This is a later series of films, not based on the books about Wallander. Mankell still writes the basic stories for the films. This is the only one I´ve seen so far and Wallander drives very little in this one, and only a SAAB 9-5. But that might be a civil police car.

Meh, for me Rolf Lassgård will always be the true Kurt Wallander.

The SAAB 9-5 is used a lot by Kurt Wallander in 1.1 "Innan frosten", 1.2 "Byfånen" och 1.3 "Bröderna",(presumably in the rest of the series too) and diserves four stars. It seems to be Kurt's personal car.

In most of series 1, Wallander drives a silver SAAB 9-3 sedan, before switching to a facelifted 9-5. The 9-3 (or a similar one, I didn't check the plates) makes a come back in the first episode of the second series, but suffers a premature end. Wallander then drives a grey-blue facelifted 9-3.

Meanwhile, the English-speaking Wallander drives the latest Volvo XC90. :D

There's a third and really final season this year, which I'm planning on doing.

Yes, I've seen the first two episodes of this third series. So many Volkswagens ! The sponsorship is so visible it's annoying. Much more than the Hyundais in season one.

In episode 1.01 called Innan Frosten(Before The Frost), one of the later scenes takes place during a gay wedding in a church. As a police car reaches the church, the rear of a white 1960 Mercury Park Lane convertible can be seen parked adjacent to the church, presumably to be used by the wedding couple after the ceremony. This is the only time period that the Mercury is seen, as the police are there to disperse the persons inside to protect them from an expected domestic terrorist party.

About halfway through Season 1.01 Innan Frosten(Before The Frost), a new plainclothes detective joins the domestic terrorist case, and he uses his red 2004? Chevrolet Blazer to aid the others to solve the case. Being that this episode was filmed completely around Ystad, Sweden this Chevrolet stands out against the other Saabs and Volvo used on-camera.

I'll have a look, thanks, series 1 is far from complete.
Are they showing this in the US?
