This movie is interesting for architecture-lovers. The scenes in and around the unfinished houses of Brasilia are legendary.

That's right ... and I'd like to see it again for that reason too.

Mercedes outsourced manufacture of LP 333/334 cabin to Wackenhut, so maybe this is LP 334 with dutch coachbuilder cabin?

Though I must have seen this film twice or more, a long time ago, I didn't remember there were so many (nice and interesting) aircraft, thanks for it andrepa! :king:

My gift for this nice locomotive too:
Depending on which line it operates, it can be:
1957-62 BB-9200 Series 1,5kV DC Current built by Schneider-Jeumont/CEM (Cie Electro Mécanique) if from "Réseau Sud-Ouest" or "Réseau Sud-Est"
1958-63 BB-16000 Series 25kV Monophasis built by MTE (Cie Matériel et Traction Electrique) if from "Réseau Nord" or "Réseau Est"

A great classic locomotive of the 50/60s :)

This stripped-out shell of a car goes off a cliff as the "stunt double" of the '62 Willys; can someone ID it?

nice find, 62imperial, had tomatoes on my eyes, it is like dsl says 1960 FNM 2000 same as Alfa tipo 102 2000/2600
that should be listed obligatory
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/F%C3%A1brica_Nacional_de_Motores
can provide better pic later, but i think 62imerial should be credited for it!

In a scene from the middle to the end of the movie this scene was actually performed.

Belmondo is going with Françoise Dorleac in a jalopy towards Brasília and behold, in the middle of the way, they come across the Aero Willys stopped on the side of the road with a flat tire.

Electrifying scene, Belmondo descends from the jalopy in motion and immediately takes the wheel of the Aero Willys, rushing out with the poor Brazilian car still with the flat whitewall tire being forced to the wheel twisting with the flabby rubber!

Then, without stunts, Belmondo makes a maneuver and makes the car fall into an abyss. Real scene and with the car really destroyed.
