In answer for your question from the forum (Pibwl), in the first 15 mins was only visible the Nysa 501 S.

Then I've seen it. Weren't there any "Spartak" whose owner transported a victim to a hospital? (what is Spartak, by the way?).

Quite good movie, by the way. Rate it at IMDB, so that it has 5 votes ;)

Spartak was a name that Škoda intended to use for the successor of the 1101/1102, but at the end they used 440, and later Octavia.

I also read that the name "Spartak" was finally not officially used on the serial made Skodas 440/445, but on the other hand it is interesting, that it is so well known also abroad of Czechoslovakia(?). Maybe my source was wrong?

@Pibwl. No, the car was only mentioned and we didn't see it.
The plot was indeed quite good. I also have pics from this film, made them some time ago, but always had something different to add. :D

"Skoda 440, also known as Spartak - the name couldn't be used because of possible confusion with similar named Dutch motorcycles Sparta"

But in official literature: http://www.motoliteratura.com.pl/spartak.html
The very early prototype(s)/pre-serial car was called officialy Spartak.

Edit: Didn't see your second post - good find so it confirm this. Anyway it is still funny how this name became popular worldwide.

I guess it's a bit similar to the Ford Taunus 12M, taht is (at least in Holland, but I guess alsewhere as well) often referred to as Ford Cardinal, the name that Ford USA used for their FWD small car prototype that eventually was produced in Germany...
