Yeah, the show is set in a generic unnamed city. Seems like an odd choice to me--not many shows do that anymore, do they? Especially in a cop drama, where the characters are basically out on the streets every day, interacting with the city. Well I guess Hill Street Blues did it but that was quite a while ago.
Maybe they kept it generic because they thought Americans wouldn't want to watch a show about Canadian police ;)
