| 1978 Volkswagen Scirocco MkI [Typ 53] Dawn of the Dead (1978) | According to the DVD special features (on 'Dawn of the Dead'), the Volkswagen was 'borrowed' (free of charge!) from a local dealership (after much begging and pleading, mind you). It was later written-off in a crash on-set (that's why the scene ends a little adruptly in the film) where the production crew quickly learnt that Volkswagen + concrete column = trouble. The best part of this story, though, is that Romero, his production crew and the distributor never paid a CENT. The car was provided free and they never reinbursed the dealership for the loss! I take back what I said before. Having actually seen the movie, I can confirm that the car's exterior is COMPLETELY CG. There is a real interior, but all other exterior shots are CG. Not bad considering some of the effects in this film... |

| Made for Movie Ultraviolet (2006) | It was shot to pieces in the trailer. The problem with 'Ultraviolet' is that there is a lot that looks CGI but is actually real and vice-versa.
