For Pete's Sake (1974)
rjluna2 wrote I forgot to mentioned that between 1969-72 model years full size sedan/coupe and station wagon were nomenclature between Caprice/Kingswood Estate, Impala/Kingswood, Bel Air/Townsman, and Biscayne/Brookwood.

Thanks for the breakdown - good info to know.

1973 Pontiac Firebird Formula
Rottenetter (2009)
I would say it is 'likely' a Firebird Formula since it does not have the "screaming chicken" :) , shaker hood or air extractors behind front wheels like a stock Trans Am would have had. See: http://www.musclecardrive.com/specs/pontiac/1973-pontiac-firebird.php Since it's over thirty years old though, many cosmetic changes could have been made to it..

1971 Chevrolet Impala
For Pete's Sake (1974)
rjluna2 wrote If this is a station wagon, it should be either Kingswood, Townsman or Brookwood

However, is /vehicle_391000-Chevrolet-1971.html the same as this, no?

Good question..? I am not sure if a wagon variant would have been simply identified as a Chevrolet "Kingswood" or a "Impala Kingswood" by GM back in the day? On some cars it is quite obvious such as an Opel Ascona "Vogage" (the wagon version of that model), while with others there is less info.. On this website they are identified that first way: http://www.stationwagon.com/gallery/gallery.html

I see what you mean and will re-size them downward. I've tried to find images that were in steadily hosted places in those images that I've included. I've been an admin here for 6 years and only include an image if the vehicle in question is not readily identifiable or when a span of model years look the same (e.g 1970-73 Firebird & Camaro). 2011-04-23 22:31

What is the problem with that? It 'verifies' what the vehicle in question is 100%. I have done this at times as other posters have deleted vehicles that were correctly identified for no reason..

As the saying goes "put up or shut up".. ;)

W123 models sold in USA were; 230 (carburated 1977-78, later 230E w/ injection not sold in US market), 240D, 280E, 300D, 300TD, 300D-T (1982-85), 300TD-T (1982-85)

Going by photo, I would 'guess' this one is a 300D-T?

1970 Ford Torino Squire
Sonda (1977-1989)
Like I said several years ago, that is NOT a 1972 Ford Torino Country Squire but a 1970-71. I wish people would back up their claims with images to verify them like I do.

So once again...

A 1972-73 Ford Gran Torino wagon has rear lamps that curve inward at the top like this one.
The rear bumper also has a much stronger upward curve on each corner compared to earlier models.

..while the 1970-71 rear lamps are more or less vertical and the rear bumper is nearly flat..

..and 1968-69 models are very similar to 1970-71 but have different trim and reverse lamps.

Going by the shape of the rear lights and bumper, the wagon originally shown is a 1970-71 model.
