| 1959 Rambler Super Red Asphalt | This shot seems to have been staged, unlike the rest of the film - none of the cars seem to be damaged. The black one in the middle background is another (fintail) Mercedes; I had a separate listing for it but it was removed. | 2013-06-13 01:51 | |

| 1964 Chevrolet Corvair Red Asphalt | Worst wreck in the film; can't believe it didn't go up in flames as the fuel tank is wrapped around the pole as well (I've seen pictures of a Corvair that burned after it got speared by the end of a guardrail). | 2013-06-13 01:24 | |
| 1953 Buick unknown Red Asphalt | Another shot of the injured driver shows it as a four-door, maybe a Special but not enough to tell. | 2013-06-13 01:19 | |

![]() California's version of Signal 30. As I did with that movie I left out as much of the gory stuff as possible (the driver of the Corvair - the only actual fatality shown onscreen - is the worst). There is some disagreement on the year of this movie; the YouTube poster lists 1960, Wikipedia says 1964 (and two of the vehicles show 1964 registration stickers), but the first vehicle that appears onscreen is a 1967 Oldsmobile California Highway Patrol cruiser. Some of the footage may be older, but all the vehicles have black California license plates issued in 1963. I would put the date at 1967 unless anyone has more detailed information. -- Last edit: 2013-06-12 07:04:05 |

| Dillinger (1973) |
I got to meet Michelle Phillips once and she had fond memories of making the movie (like firing a Tommy gun!). She said it was filmed around Enid, OK. One car is missing: the Model A pickup at the farm where Pretty Boy Floyd seeks refuge. The farmer mentions it hasn't run since 1929 (what, when it was new? ). |

| 1974 Jeep Wagoneer [SJ] Used Cars (1980) |
This one didn't survive the filming - when the police car rear-ends the car they're towing, the powder charge in the stunt cannon that was supposed to make it flip end-over-end was too strong. The police car ended up crushing the back end of the Wagoneer, so they had to reshoot it (with the other Prophecy vehicle?) and this time dropped the police car on the towed car with a crane. -- Last edit: 2013-04-14 06:28:53 |

| Surf Party (1964) | Sorry, it was the best I could do - this was a Fox Movie Channel broadcast, recorded to DVR and burned to DVD at the highest setting. Even pulling stills from that I have to try a couple frames to get one relatively clear shot when the cars are moving or the camera is panning. | 2013-03-20 21:27 |
