Animatronixx ![]() | Yes, I´m here ![]() I can only venture a guess... There was a Spanish company named "Lopez Clamamunt" that built comparable funeral coaches during the 30s, but very little seems to be known about this firm - not even the exact place of origin. The chassis could be a demanding task for pilou. ![]() |

nzcarnerd ![]() | I agree the coachwork looks too old fashioned. When I saw the local car I was surprised to see that it was as late as 1939. I would have picked it for a few years earlier. Remember that buyers of Rolls-Royces were often very conservative and didn't want to be too avant-garde. -- Last edit: 2008-06-15 21:11:56 |

john from Staffs ![]() | If the car has independent front suspension it is a Wraith or could be a PIII, if there is an axle and cart springs it isn't. The coachwork looks a bit old fashioned for 1939, so my money is on a 25/30. Production 25/30 1201 PIII 710 Wraith 491 |

| Leyland Titan OPD2 MCW Orion El Cochecito (1960) |
john from Staffs ![]() | http://www.camionesclasicos.com/FORO/viewtopic.php?t=8878 Described by Edinburgh Corporation as "Monstrous masses of shivering tin" the MCW Orion coachwork was light in weight and spartan in finish, but sold well and was popular with bus operators as the buses were economical with fuel. If we are agreed that one of the buses from the link above is shown in the picture under consideration, then the description should be "Leyland Titan OPD2/MCW Orion". -- Last edit: 2008-06-15 11:32:38 |

| Unknown El Cochecito (1960) |
carchasesfanatic ![]() | It would deserve two stars, this scene was censored and never shown in the final cut of the movie, yet the director filmed it, it was censored beause it was said to be a "brutal" scene which obviously wasnt, the mmain character of the film kills all his family and in this sequence you see the death bodies being taken to the ambulance, just that, in the alternative ending, the one shown to the public, the main character is trying to runaway when is caught by La Guardia Civil, the murder in this case, is just "implied". | 2008-06-14 22:57 |
