1996 Rover 800 Sterling [R17]
The Oxford Murders (2008)
Mr Chipsticks ENThe alloys give it away as a Sterling. Funny how it appears in a programme called 'The Oxford Murders' as the Rover 800 was built in the then Rover plant in Cowley, Oxford, England.

ROVER wrote Police cars in normal use would usually get issued with standard wheel trims rather than alloys. So an authentic vehicle or one used for TV could be the same, meaning wheels/trims not a way of identifying the model correctly.

I've seen plenty of 800 Police cars with alloys
Those wheel trims are Si spec

1992 Isuzu Trooper LS
The Oxford Murders (2008)
tonkatracker USThis is an Isuzu Trooper. Foglights indicate it is LS trim, Lack of "over-fenders" suggest it is a 92-95.

This is not a Bighorn as mentioned above because of the lack of front wing mirror. The emblem in the grille is not long enough to say "Vauxhall" and the lack of bonnet badge proves that this is not a "Monterey" at all (neither a Vauxhall or Opel) so that basically leaves the Trooper

Weasel1984 PLG something, but with this design they had also a name. The "normal" ones were known as Manager, and these for the harder work (like the one here) as Maxter. Post 1992/93 - thanks to the new badge.

1992 Isuzu Trooper LS
The Oxford Murders (2008)

1990 Austin Metro 1.0 L [LC8]
The Oxford Murders (2008)
twingoman ENNot an MG Metro.

These were just badged "Metro", but they came under the Rover brand, so probably best to list is a Rover Metro.

carchasesfanatic ESI dont know if it is supposed to be another police car like the Rover is or a traffic car, but you see the line of three cars for several shots, its not that hidden, i dont know why it cant have its own page. 2008-05-24 12:46

The Oxford Murders (2008)
carchasesfanatic ESIts not that, when you are right, you are right and i agree with you many times, but sometimes you go too far even with cars that are perfectly visible, sometimes you are just like the opposite of Sixcyl, he likes posting as many cars as he can find and you like to remove as many cars as you can, that's it. 2008-05-24 12:42

sixcyl FRThat's obviouisly a "phase2" Rover 800 series, hatchback version... Sterling was trim level , not available everywhere. I don't know how we can recognize this trim level here? 2008-05-24 09:46

1992 Isuzu Trooper LS
The Oxford Murders (2008)
