rapunzel ![]() | The hardtop is made by a company in California (?) called Doretti and was sold by a place called Runyan, Inc., 819 North La Brea Avenue, Los Angeles 38, California. I have one! 4x4peru ![]() | Looks Willys CJ2A. Appears to have the post war larger headlights. (Or perhaps an MB with a repositioned spare tire if the lights are indeed small?). | 2008-09-08 23:23

| Seagrave Triple Pumper It Came from Beneath the Sea (1955) |
nzcarnerd ![]() | Yes definitely Seagrave - probably late 1920s. Comparing it with some of the pics on this page Link to "www.lafire.com" it is a triple pumper. Note the prices of some of these - the 1929 Seagrave triple was $11,000 at a time when a new Ford A was less than $500. -- Last edit: 2008-03-28 19:41:58 |

| 1946 Ford Super De Luxe Convertible Coupe [69A-76] It Came from Beneath the Sea (1955) |
antp ![]() | I think that it is better to keep the pic from this movie, to have same "colors" (I know it is B&W, but you see what I mean) than other pics, and not have the exact same pics for both. | 2008-03-28 15:43

| 1946 Ford Super De Luxe Convertible Coupe [69A-76] It Came from Beneath the Sea (1955) |
wrenchhead ![]() | Good attention to detail Antp - I'm impressed, I hadn't noticed that until you pointed it out. In both movies the Ford is moving backwards. Since both movies used a lot of stock footage, I wonder if we will see the same clip is some other movie. |

| 1952 De Soto It Came from Beneath the Sea (1955) |
DAF555 ![]() | From what I can find Firedome was introduced as 1952 models [S-17], but I can´t tell if this is one or De Luxe/Custom. Possibly it has the wider hood ornamentation of the Firedome, looking like an air intake, but it´s too blurred to be sure and the shadow looking like it seems to be wider than it should. The badge beneath it seems smaller than the Firedome badge though. So I think we can settle with just 1952 De Soto. It might even be a 1951, the difference was in the letters of the De Soto name, script for 1951 and block letters for 1952. But that can´t be seen either, for certain, but there might be traces of block letters in this blurr. |
