zodiac  | The 230S was longer than the 200 and the 230, and that's because: - the 230S belonged to, and looked like, the [W111] family and consequently had the same lenght (4875 mm) as the 220b, 220Sb and 220SEb. - the 230 (without S) belonged to, and looked like, the [W110] family and consequently had the same length (4730 mm) as the 190c, 190Dc, 200 and 200D. The problem with Mercedes is that we from outside can't possible see what engine is fitted. The only way to judge is to have a look at the production numbers concerning that body type, where one can see that: - the 200 [W110 B II] was built in 69.789 units (26,0%). - the 200D [W110 D II] was built in 159.365 units (59,3%). - the 230 [W110 B III] was built in 39.619 units (14,7%). zodiac | I'd say this is rather a tricky one. It was originally, if I understand this right, named FIAT 124 Sport Spider, but as this one has black bumpers I rather think it's a 1979-82 FIAT 2000 Spider. From 1983 until the end in 1985 it was named Pininfarina Spider Azzura (that is without the FIAT name!), but I think this is a FIAT. |
