| 1947 Studebaker Commander Regal Deluxe Starlight Coupe October Sky (1999) |
johnfromStaffs ![]() | Never having actually seen any Studebaker in the metal I just did my best. American cars have never sold well in UK as they are generally too big and use too much fuel. | 2012-05-09 23:29
| 1947 Studebaker Commander Regal Deluxe Starlight Coupe October Sky (1999) |
Commander 57 ![]() | No, it is not. The car in the thumbnail is a '47 Champion per grille and hood medallion (and it has an incorrect set of extra bumper guards). It is also not a Starlight Coupe as it has a divided windshield. (All Starlight Coupes from '47 on had one-piece windshields.) -- Last edit: 2012-05-09 19:57:33 |

| 1947 Studebaker Commander Regal Deluxe Starlight Coupe October Sky (1999) |
Commander 57 ![]() | No. Notice the rear bumper is not wrapped. This is either a '47 or '48. We know this is a Commander as the only models that had chromed gravel shields in '47/'48 were Champion/Commander convertibles and Regal Deluxe trimmed Commanders. The bright rocker trim also shows this is a Regal Deluxe model. A good front or rear view would reveal the precise year. -- Last edit: 2012-05-09 18:14:31 |

Firebird86 ![]() | 404 is a 2 ton chassis and the 27 indicates 179" wheelbase, it seemed like the best matchup. The truck is shown as in this link. I posted the wrong page, sorry http://www.oldgmctrucks.com/page0005.html | 2007-03-06 01:48

Ddey65 ![]() | Chevrolet 4100 or 4400, if it's a 1 1/2 ton truck. If it's a two ton truck, it's either a 6100 or 6400. Link to "forum.imcdb.org" And yes, it is from that period. -- Last edit: 2007-03-04 07:11:33 |

Ddey65 ![]() | If this is a half-ton panel truck, it's the 3105. If it's a 3/4 ton truck, it's the 3605. If it's a one-ton truck(which is unlikely due to the wheelbase), it's the 3805. See this post in the forum for details: Link to "forum.imcdb.org" -- Last edit: 2007-03-01 15:54:58 |

junkman ![]() | My mistake entirey. Kässbohrer built the Trailways "GOLDEN EAGLE"s, not the Scenicruiser. I mistook one for the other in my b+w archive. So this is a 1954 GMC Model PD 4501 'Greyhound Scenicruiser'. Thanks for helping me to get this finally straight, Pilou! |
