demetrie ![]() | "Alright, listen up, people. Our fugitive has been on the run for ninety minutes. Average foot speed over uneven ground barring injuries is 4 miles-per-hour. That gives us a radius of six miles. What I want from each and every one of you is a hard-target search of every gas station, residence, warehouse, farmhouse, henhouse, outhouse and doghouse in that area. Checkpoints go up at fifteen miles. Your fugitive's name is Dr. Richard Kimble. Go get him." | 2011-03-07 13:06

Snookie ![]() | That's true. In 1990, all Caprices were ordered without hubcaps to save money, and they came into service fitted with the flat dog dish hubcaps used on 1979-1989 Ford Crown Vics (They have several photos of these Caprices on copcar.com) But in 1989, there were only unmarked units, and no marked cars due to last minute budget crunches. But yeah, I see what you mean. Nice job! -- Last edit: 2008-06-19 07:24:01 |

| 1991 BMW 750iL [E32] The Fugitive (1993) |
Newman ![]() | I had to watch this movie again, and the car is a '91 or a '92. Most '90s did not have that rearview mirror. The other thing that tips it are the interior door handles, which indicates it is not a '93 or '94. 750ils were still produced and sold in '93 and '94. They were not replaced, but the M60 powered E32s took the place of the 735is and outsold 750s. | 2007-12-19 18:33

| 1991 BMW 750iL [E32] The Fugitive (1993) |
Adrian ![]() | Okay, I watched the scene 3 times over and over last night - and in slow motion. It is absolutely impossible to read the model/badge on the trunk. Could be a 740iL, or a 750iL. The wheels are very similar looking when they are moving - but I must say it looks more like a 750iL. Since the film came out in `93, this was the same year the 740's came out. The 750iL was out since `88. So, I'd say it's a `90-`91 750iL - it even sounds like one. I just remembered, the unclear badge, appeared to not be italic, so automatically it's not a 740. It's a `90-`91 750iL. | 2006-03-28 21:47
| 1991 BMW 750iL [E32] The Fugitive (1993) |
Adrian ![]() | Okay. Looks like I'll have to rent the movie out again, to be extra sure. In the meantime, if you insist on calling it a 740iL please change the year to 1993. The 740's never existed in the US until `93. Thanks. | 2006-03-28 00:16

| 1991 BMW 750iL [E32] The Fugitive (1993) |
Adrian ![]() | Not easy I know! Sounds like you know your stuff too. But my guess is this...since the movie was released in 1993, and the 740i and 740iL were just introduced that year (or late `92, as a `93 model year), there's probably a better chance this is a `90-`94 750iL - I seem to remember confirming it when I first saw the movie. Plus that wheel sure looks like the older version BBS-syle the E34 535i and E32 750iL used. (The early `88-`89 750iL used a plain dish-looking wheel). This car is a `90-`94 E32 750iL. -- Last edit: 2006-03-21 22:40:09 |

Sunbar ![]() | Rear view of car probably shows 740iL ....a bit blurred because of motion but the first two figures are '74' and definitely not '75' (90% sure). ...don't know if 3 stars is correct but I think it's use by a main character in three or more scenes plus slightly lengthly interior shots of conversations with the main characters is more than two stars. ![]() This is the best shot I can get of the (moving) wheel - I don't know if this will confirm the 740iL designation. -- Last edit: 2006-03-16 13:37:03 |

Adrian ![]() | This car is either a 740iL or a 750iL. Hard to tell by this blurred shot. Only was to tell by exterior is the wheels, exhaust, and badge - otherwise the 740iL and 750iL look identical. Brief minor use of vehicle. No aggressive driving or stunts. Not worth it for car use. | 2006-03-15 22:52
