Looks like a 'Queen Mary' trailer. Usually towed by a Bedford but this one looks more like a Commer - maybe?

Agreed it does not look like a wartime Bedford, but a Commer with a vertically split windscreen?

There was also, apparently, a 10 foot wheelbase version of the Commer which was normal control, but I am unable to find a picture of one.

The more I look at this, the more I think it's an O model Bedford cab modified with the roof hatch and higher mounted to clear the large diameter wheel/tyre equipment.

Of the two it looks more like a Commer to me than any Bedford. The bonnet side louvres and radiator surround are definitely Commer.

Commer Superpoise Q4; a tractor unit for the RAF by this screen capture, its based on the 1939 3-ton GS truck normal control with two-part windscreen and anticipating or developed alongside the 1945 civilian Commer-Hands 8-ton tractor unit which had a one-piece windscreen unlike the one in the movie.

Looking for confirmation about a Commer Superpoise Q4 tractor unit for the RAF, mentioned here as being introduced after the Crossley 4x4 tractor

"The original QM was 3 ton, towed by Commer 8 ft wheelbase tractor units,....The Bedford OX was a bit underpowered for a fully laden 5 ton QM so the Crossley 4x4 tractor was introduced to tow the 5 ton trailer; but it seems the Bedford was still used with the 5 ton. Then came a 10ft wheelbase Commer..." Link to "hmvf.co.uk"

The '10ft wheelbase Commer' equates to a 1939 Commer Superpoise Q4 short wheelbase truck, later used as a tractor unit.
