Given a page as I find the idea of a Renegade police car hysterical, but it seems Jeep are actually trying to sell them to the police:

British police sure has some interesting vehicles. Better than the endless flood of Passats and 3 Series, they use here.

And how a four wheeled garbage bin used as police car should be more interesting than something much more useful? Which, I mean, I frankly don't care if the differently Europeans are more interested to waste money in rubbish than wisely spending for real necessities, but in comparison even the Seat Leon is less ridicolous.

If it's as reliable as the Jeep my neighbour had then you could start a crime wave with no worries about being caught.

To be fair, the Brits have used Jeep Cherokees and Ford Explorers before without complaint. What's the big deal about this one?

I believe that new-gen Jeeps like the Renegade or Cherokee/Grand Cherokee improved their reliability compared to the previous-gen models. I recently saw the Renegade at the local FCA dealer and it gave me a definitely better impression compared to some models of the recent past.

As an experience I directly knew, the dad of a friend of mine leased a Cherokee [KK] a couple of years ago and it could drive it only for a few months before it broke down in the middle of the mountains under a winter storm due to a failure of the rear differential, which couldn't be repaired so far. This experience scared him so much that he refused to switch to the new Cherokee [KL] and changed make, despite being a long-time Jeep enthusiast...
