i dont think they damaged it i think they parked it there and loosend the taillight because diplomats were new back then. the Buick is a different story... i drew a picture of this hahaha |

Most likely; both were already damaged. California was full of police departments that couldn't give away their Diplomats in the 80s. Even the studios didn't want them. Ever wonder why movie cops were still driving 70's vintage Monacos and Furys almost until the 90s? |

Not true. In 1989, the M-body police car had been around for about 9 years since it was introduced in 1980. It makes complete sense for them to have used an old Diplomat in this case. I'm not quite sure I understand. The M-body was used in many movies up until the 90's. Just take a peek at all of the ones we have listed. If anything, the movies with older police cars tend to have smaller budgets. |
