... or possibly either a diplomat or a US serviceman? In the 50s there were a lot of yank tanks around in the vicinity of USAAF bases; I was at school in Oxford at that time, and American cars from the base at Upper Heyford were quite common. |

Sorry, Leoz, I missed your post ... no Cadillacs, as I remember, but other GMs - Chevrolets and Pontiacs in particular. Also Fords - some older than this one; turtlebacks - Mercurys, Plymouths, Dodges. Nothing very expensive! And at that time several British and European cars with left-hand drive. |
