So many mysteries today - let's at least solve one: Correct, there were probably not more than a handful built of these (I know of a silver and a blue survivor, this is obviously a third one). I know the owner of the blue one (car is in Northern Germany) and we tried researching who actually built it back in the 1990s, because there have been many names of coachbuilders attached to these unusually shaped Fiat 130 hearses. Pilato DIDN'T build them, as we have been told by *drumroll* Pilato! To cut it short: There was a hearse coachbuilder, somewhere in Italy, named BGT. The "G" from BGT (who later also was the G in "GLS Automobili S.R.L.") confirmed that this is a BGT conversion. |
