Yes, in Germany every state has their own police, serving in any city/town of that state. There is also the "Bundespolizei", which is the federal police. |

For some reason since 1977,I seem to keep adding a "T"...but I think it's also a common error among those Americans stationed there?? (Seen it misspelled since....1977! Guessing it's a 'spell it like you say it' thing for a lot of us?) |

Yes,I recall the states had theirs called the 'Landespolizei'(Could not recall the real name when I wrote this...recalled it later that night?),and there was the investigative unit for the big crimes,like robberies,murders,kidnappings,bombings and such that everyone called the 'Kripo'? (Short for 'Kriminalpolizei' I recall?) |
