Very difficult to see what model. Albeit it appear to have enough chrome around the doors to qualify as a W109, it can be an illusion, and also the rear door doesn't seem long enough. The radiator grille seems blackish rather than greyish which might point towards a 1968+ model. However the lack of door mirror might point´towards an earlier model, or was it illegal to have a door mirror on the right side in those days in Germany. What contradict that is that the Taxi have booth door mirrors. Having written that, I just remember to check the availability for colours. Possibly coloour 294 H (by Herberts) http://sterntwiete.mparschau.de/html/LI_294_2.html or this one http://sterntwiete.mparschau.de/html/LI_Grasgruen_1.html which I have no idea what it is. Otherwise one chart here http://sterntwiete.mparschau.de/html/lack_individuell.html , one here http://sterntwiete.mparschau.de/html/lack_uni.html , one here http://sterntwiete.mparschau.de/html/lack_metallic.html , one here http://sterntwiete.mparschau.de/html/lack_sonstige.html and, finally, one here Link to "www.peachparts.com" . As far as I understand, it doesn't have a standard paint. Possibly made to order, or repainted. Conclusion: This might be a 1968+ 280 S or SE but it might also not be. |

If this is a 280 SE it's not a [W 109] but a [W 108]. But I don't know how you can be that precise. |

me either, as it still could be that 280 SE 3.5 /vehicle_57051-Mercedes-Benz-280-SE-35-W108-1971.html |

But it can also be a 280 S Link to "www.benzworld.org" (albeit I belive that one is a 1968 MY, as no 280 S existed in 1966...). |

Probably resprayed. I cannot recall such a bright shade of metallic green on a W108 |
