@Alex here is a prime example of ESP on the right side of the hatch. Should these be made for I? Also, @tore-40 do you think we ought to add that to extra information or the actual model name? Now I understand what they call supplementary part for Italy here |

If not a trim level, but added to the entire model range, the model field gets my vote Probably the smallest supplementary parts ever made.... |

This car results delivered (to the dealer network, I presume) 8 days before the roll-over during the moose test performed by Swedish magazine Teknikens Värld on October 21, 1997. Two weeks later, on November 11, Mercedes-Benz released an official announcement that W168 deliveries were idled in order to fit an ESP and some other chassis modifications to the already produced vehicles. So this car, one of the very first ones produced, was probably taken back by the manufacturer after the incident, modified and then sent back to Italy, where it was registered on May 12, 1998. For sure the ESP badge was not present when delivered the first time and it was put only after during the modifications. |

I'm not much sure they mean the ESP badge as 'supplementary part', because when built (September 1997) the car for sure didn't have it |

Yes, indeed. Didn't notice the early build date. |
