Since I can't see if it has the banana vent or not, it is 1970/71 version |

how about now ? |

That will work. It is 1971 Volkswagen, but I can't tell if this is Super Beetle or Sedan 'Beetle' both sold in our market. |

We can use the generic 'Beetle' then (or pick one of the two names by default?) -- Last edit: 2016-09-20 19:52:44 |

That would work pending upon further identification |

Thin tyres and narrow wheels - plain Beetle?? |

Don't know about the tires, but all black window rubber makes it most probably a plain Beetle. |

1971, they both have 5.60x15 on 4Jx15 rims back then. 1972 standard Beetle still had the same. 1972 Super Beetle, on the other hand, got 6.00x15L on 4½Jx15 rims, according to brochures available. (Then 1973-74 Beetle had the wider wheels, back to narrow ones 1975, while 1976-77 hade wider ones again, if brochures are to be trusted. I suspect 1975 info is incorrect) |
