W115 Rootes-crap behind! If it has a West German number -somehow visible?- it may be one of the very few Humber Sceptre MkIII, sold here. The vinyl roof would fit, AFAIK all Sceptres, sold here had it. |

All the Arrow Sceptres had the vinyl roof, but I think the Hunter GLS did as well. |

Sunbeam Sceptre as exported to Continental Europe. |

Sceptre was the only Arrow with standard vinyl until some late run-out editions (eg Oct 75 Hunter Topaz) and very last Super (Sept 77, when they became Chrysler badged). It became option in about 73 across other versions, so many GLS may well have had them. I like the idea of this being a Sunbeam Sceptre - colour seems early 70s dark green like my Dad's 1971 (TDU 562J) and if Sunbeam-badged it would not - logically - have the C-pillar logo of a Sceptre with an H - eg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v327/Linda32/My%20cars/S7301660.jpg . Also the pillar vents here are pre-1972 without chrome highlights. |
