jpts ◊ 2016-12-31 15:48	I looked up the destination on the bus' electronic destination board and there was a railway station in Manhattan called 89th Street. The 89th Street Station was an old elevated station that ran on the former elevated IRT 3rd Avenue Line. When it was open on the 9th December 1878, the station had two levels; the lower level had two side platforms and two tracks for the local services while the upper level had a track that was used for the express services that would bypass the station. The station closed down on the 12th May 1955 when the Manhattan services for the IRT 3rd Avenue Line ceased. -- Last edit: 2016-12-31 16:25:45
