Is it supposed to be a Bentley MkVI? |

Can't look any deeper, I've got an appointment with my financial advisor. |

Clearer pic added, does it help? Grille is distinguishable now at least. |

@jfs: Any idea now, or is still too bad a pic? |

I think that we can say it is a 46-52 Crewe built Standard Steel Saloon, but whether it is a kosher Dawn or a MkVI disguised as a Dawn, sorry, still can’t say. It’s all to do with the shape of the bonnet, and the position of the handle. Reduced to basics, if the handle comes up with the bonnet, it was a Bentley, if it remains on the fixed side panel, it is a Royce. -- Last edit: 2020-04-04 19:11:55 |

With the brightness turned up to maximum, and the picture expanded I think I see the following features: - MkVI era spats. Sharp curve on bonnet to match Royce radiator. I cannot see the handle, or the gap between the bonnet and the side panel. Let’s say, 60/40 in favour of Rolls-Royce Silver Dawn, pre 1952 update. |

1949 to 1952, if we are going to say Rolls-Royce, it can only be a Dawn, there is no other option. |

Sorry, shorthand, I meant Silver Dawn. |
