![]() Seems UK name was Polski Fiat 125p Pick-up. Arrived June 78 as 115CF (8cwt), became 115CP in Jan 79, went up to 10cwt (= 0.5 ton) in early 1980, April 83 new 21cm longer wheelbase and now 12cwt. No info on how how long it lasted here, but seems still listed in July 85. |

My 1st impression was that it is the long version comapring the wheelbase's length with rear overhang, but in fact from some angles (let alone the distance) it is hard to be sure: - short one - long one The code "115CF" and "115CP" are a little strange in this context. 115CF was wagon and about 115CP I've never heard anything. Short pick-up was 115CD, long one could be 115CH or DH - depends on years and exact specification. The FSO 125p Pick-up had to be still avaiable in UK in 1990 (or late 1989). In these, its very last years, in GB brochures it used to be named "FSO 10 cwt Pick-up". Is the British source says anything about engines in the late 70s? -- Last edit: 2016-07-30 15:02:56 |

Info from a couple of Glass's Commercial Vehicles guides from 1983-85. Very brief listings with little detail or description. "115CF" and "115CP" are included as above, but not sure if [codes] or chassis number prefixes. Engine just listed as 1481cc - no info on bhp or other facts. Also slightly unclear what UK name actually was - may have been successively FSO 8cwt/10cwt/12cwt Pick-up as your brochure info ^ - I looked for another similar UK sighting and only found /vehicle_358976-FSO-10cwt-Pick-up-115DH-1990.html in our collection, so knitted together something which gave a match. |

Before 1981 "Polski Fiat" for sure (and I bet model "125p Pick-up"), since 1981 125ps were branded FSO in UK (don't know what name pick-up had at this time there), then for 1983 the name "FSO 10 cwt Pick-up" is confirmed. Indeed in 1983 British brochure pick-up had only 1481 "1500" engine, guess it was the same earlier (same like with wagon, which was everywhere 1500 only except Poland, where it could have also 1300 engine). Short pick-up 1500 was [115CD.6]. -- Last edit: 2016-07-30 16:38:29 |
